This course provides the underpinning knowledge to work as a Signalling Principles Designer (Scheme) on the MTM Metropolitan Rail Network and V/Line Regional Rail Networks.
Audience
This course is for participants who hold the Signalling Designer – National role and wish to progress to the role of MTM or V/Line – Signalling Principles Designer (Scheme). This course will validate the MTM or V/Line – Signalling Principles Designer (Scheme) Job Role and support the
participant with the assessment of their Signalling Principles Designer – National Job Role.

Course Prerequisites
Participants MUST be 18+ years of age.
Participants are required to have met the following pre-requisites to commence:
– Hold a valid Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card
– Design Pathway – Hold a valid Signalling Designer-National Job Role and a valid MTM or V/Line Signalling Designer Job Role
OR
– Testing Pathway – Hold a valid Signalling Function Tester-National Job Role and hold a valid MTM or V/Line Function Tester Job Role
Note: The Testing pathway requires the RIW Cardholder to hold a valid MTM or V/Line Basic Signalling Technology competency
